Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: March 22, 2026 • Field Assembly LLC
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Rafter and all services operated by Field Assembly LLC. By accessing or using Rafter, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.
1. Permitted Uses
Rafter is designed to help contractors, tradespeople, and construction professionals generate professional field and office documents for their business operations. Permitted uses include:
- Generating bids, proposals, subcontractor quotes, change orders, and invoices for your contracting business
- Producing job hazard analyses, toolbox talks, and safety checklists as starting-point drafts for review and adaptation by qualified site supervisors
- Creating daily site logs, punch lists, requests for information, and closeout letters for legitimate project documentation
- Using documents as a starting point for professional review and editing before submission or distribution
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Rafter to:
Legal and ethical violations
- Generate documents intended to deceive, defraud, or misrepresent facts to clients, owners, subcontractors, or third parties
- Produce content that is illegal under applicable federal, state, or local law
- Create documents that constitute unlicensed practice of law, engineering, safety consulting, or any other licensed profession
- Produce defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive content
- Generate content that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights
Safety document misuse
- Distribute AI-generated safety documents — including job hazard analyses, toolbox talks, or safety checklists — without first reviewing and approving them through a qualified and competent site supervisor or safety professional
- Represent AI-generated safety documents as certified, engineered, or professionally stamped safety plans without independent verification
- Use AI-generated documents as a substitute for site-specific safety assessments conducted by qualified personnel
AI misuse
- Attempt to circumvent, manipulate, or jailbreak the AI model to produce content outside its intended scope
- Submit inputs designed to extract confidential system instructions or model weights
- Use the service to train, fine-tune, or benchmark other AI or machine learning models without our written consent
Service integrity
- Share your account credentials with other individuals or organizations
- Automate access to Rafter in a way that circumvents rate limits or imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service
- Use the service through scrapers, bots, or automated tools not approved by Field Assembly LLC
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the service without a separate written agreement
3. AI-Generated Content Responsibility
Rafter produces document drafts using large language model technology provided by Anthropic, PBC. You acknowledge and agree that:
- All output from Rafter is a draft for your review and editing, not a final or legally binding document
- You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving any document before sending it to a client, owner, subcontractor, or third party
- Field Assembly LLC does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, legal sufficiency, regulatory compliance, or fitness for purpose of any generated document
- Documents involving significant financial obligations, legal rights, or professional liability should be reviewed by a licensed attorney or relevant professional before use
- Safety documents, including JHAs and toolbox talks, must be adapted to actual site conditions and approved by a qualified supervisor before distribution
When presenting AI-generated documents to third parties, you represent that you have reviewed the content and that it accurately reflects the actual scope, conditions, and intentions of your project. You should not represent AI-generated content as entirely your own composition in contexts where that distinction is material.
4. Content Standards
Inputs you provide to Rafter — including voice recordings, text prompts, and form fields — must relate to legitimate contracting or construction business documentation. Do not submit inputs that contain:
- Personal identifying information of third parties without their consent
- Confidential information belonging to others that you are not authorized to disclose
- Content that is obscene, abusive, or designed to generate harmful material
5. Minors
Rafter is a professional business tool intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the service. By using Rafter, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
6. Enforcement
Field Assembly LLC reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP and to take any action we deem appropriate, including:
- Issuing a warning
- Suspending access to the service pending investigation
- Terminating your subscription without refund
- Reporting conduct to applicable authorities where required by law
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of enforcement actions unless prohibited by law or where doing so would compromise an investigation.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, or if you encounter content generated by Rafter that you believe was produced in violation of this policy, please report it to [email protected].
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time as our service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the application. Continued use of Rafter after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
